MARION (WSIL) -- A local woman who has been missing for months is now receiving national attention.

Laura Wolfe of Marion has been missing for 81 days. Her daughter Amber Whitlock says it's a pain she wouldn't wish on anyone.

"Whenever it had been over 24 hours and her phone was still turned off, that's when I was like, okay, something is definitely not right," says Whitlock.

Laura was last seen locally leaving her residence July 15 to help a man who goes by "Snoop" get to Kalamazoo, Michigan. She left her home in a 1998 gold GMC Yukon.

"My mom is the kind of person that would literally give the shirt off of her back for anybody in need, and no matter how she's feeling, she's always trying to help other people smile and feel happy. She's just a really good person," states Whitlock.

Whitlock says her mom even had plans to move to Florida to be close to her future granddaughter. "I packed up some of her stuff, and then I found a foster for her dog, but she had already packed up most of her stuff because she was getting ready to move. I take care of her mom. Her mom has dementia so that was another reason she was coming here. She wanted to be close to her granddaughter, and she also wanted to be close to my ninny."

Whitlock says this is not how she thought she'd be spending her last few months of pregnancy.

"It's just been really hard without my mom. Whenever you're pregnant you want to text your mom and you want to ask her like, 'Hey, this is happening, or what do I need for the baby?' I try to take each day just day by day. Some days are better than others. I really just try to remember that my mom would want me to try and be as stress free as possible."

A $1,000 reward is being offered for any information that leads directly to Laura's location.

"If you have information, come forward. It can be anonymous if you want it to be anonymous. We just, we really need to know what happened."

Laura is 46-years-old with light brown hair and blonde highlights. She is roughly 200 pounds and has two tattoos, one on her lower back and a hummingbird on her upper thigh.

The last time she was heard from she was desperately trying to get home from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Her roommate also said a man could be heard yelling in the background. Since then, her phone has been turned off, and no one has heard from her.

If you have any information about Laura's disappearance, please contact the Marion Police Department.
