The Cayuga County Health Department is reminding the public the importance of contact tracing.
Residents who test positive say they feel guilty for restricting the activity of others they’ve come into contact with.
The department said it protects the privacy of the positive cases and does not disclose to an individual who they were in contact with. Not sharing the names puts even more people at risk of contracting the virus.
