Watch Now: What's Next For MLB After Draft (1:58)

In a recent interview with ESPN, former Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora took responsibility for his role in the Houston Astros sign-stealing scandal in 2017. Along with Carlos Beltran, Cora admitted that the two were involved in the scandal. But also revealed that they weren't the only ones in on the scheme and, as a result, didn't want to be labeled as the only scapegoats.

During Friday's installment of "Nothing Personal with David Samson," David Samson said that he believes that Cora wasn't the only member of the Houston Astros that was aware of the sign-stealing.

"When signs are being stolen, it's pretty clear what players are going to do," Cora said. "They are going to cooperate and use the information to make themselves better off. It is incumbent on the leaders of a team and Alex Cora was the leader of that team. As bench coach, you are a leader. In a clubhouse, if you're a leader as a bench coach and you don't agree with your manager, then you have to become a follower of your manager.

"But if you're a bench coach and you're a leader, your manager believes in what you believe in. Then he's got your back and there's something you can do about it. Alex Cora had to have known that AJ Hinch was not interested in stealing signs. Unless of course, AJ Hinch was full of it and he loved the competitive advantage."

Cora's biggest problem with the sign-stealing scandal has been the backlash that Beltran and himself have received. Cora believes that many label the two as the masterminds of the scandal.

"If there is one thing I am absolutely sure of, it is that it was not a two-man show," Cora said. "We all did it. And let me be very clear that I am not denying my responsibility, because we were all responsible."

Samson also said that Cora wasn't going to leap over the corporate structure and take the sign-stealing scandal to the top of the organization.
