So while Nina sought out happiness with Dre, Kevin and Kiesha have largely navigated their teen years alone, largely in secret. Kiesha’s had an active sex life throughout the show, first with with Emmett, and later her track coach. With Kevin, I’d note that Jake is welcome in the family home despite his own crazy home life and that has always been strange to me; it’s not necessarily what would happen in real life, where many parents are vocal and skittish about letting their children be around kids who could become a target for violence.
