Peyton Manning is one of the biggest names to ever play for the Denver Broncos, but he's not necessarily looking to become an owner of the team. The former quarterback, who was inducted into the Broncos' Ring of Fame on Sunday, said he isn't currently planning to buy the organization.
"I haven't had any serious conversations with anyone," Manning told reporters. "Certainly, there's some people that have called me ... are you going to try to own the team?
"I keep looking for that $3 billion in my pocket. I can't find it. I think it's hidden in the couch somewhere, so that's not really on my radar."
Manning added that he's happy in his broadcasting role with ESPN while hosting an alternative Monday Night Football broadcast with his brother Eli Manning.
Manning played the final four seasons of his NFL career with the Broncos following 13 years in Indianapolis. He revived his career in Denver after missing all of the 2011 season following neck surgery. The Hall of Famer retired in 2016 after winning the Super Bowl with the Broncos in his final season.
The Broncos' future remains uncertain with the organization currently held by the trust of the late owner Pat Bowlen. Team CEO and president Joe Ellis has said the organization will either be managed by Brittany Bowlen, Pat's daughter, if certain conditions are met, or it will go up for sale in the future.
