No really, that sucked - Broad Street Hockey

The Philadelphia Flyers finally got their power play going, beating Carey Price three times in a game for the first time in the series.

Unfortunately, pretty much everything else the Flyers did against the Montreal Canadiens was horrible.

From starting the elimination game with zero urgency, to surrendering a short-handed goal within the first three minutes of the opening period after the Habs purposefully hit Carter Hart, it was pretty much downhill from there.

A five-minute major and game misconduct for Jesperi Kotkaniemi’s dirty hit on Travis Sanheim lead to a pair of Jake Voracek goals, but the Flyers surrendered the lead and momentum shortly after.

They would surrender again in the third after Joel Farabee knotted the game at three on the power play, as Nick Suzuki danced around a flat-footed Flyers defense to give the Habs the lead for good, 22 seconds after the Farabee goal. Gotta love when the fourth line and third d-pair are on the ice after the biggest goal of the season, don’t ya?

Anyway, here’s the postgame. If you’re mad or disappointed, well, so was I. Maybe this will be therapeutic.
