Boston — The Islanders were a positive group heading to Game 2 of the second round series with Bruins.
But it wasn’t a blind aggressiveness. They delay Bruins, who won five consecutive playoff games, including 5-2 in Game 1 on Saturday night at TD Garden, and the deadly top lines of David Pastonack, Patrice Burgeron, and Brad Marchand. It was very realistic about the challenge.

“I thought we had a pretty good match,” said defensive Adam Perech. We were there to the end.”
Islanders will need more blue line shots from their defense. More traffic is needed in front of the Bruins goalkeeper Tuukka Rask. They need to limit production from Bruins’ “Perfection Line”.
But they believe they can get it done.
“We are very positive,” Perek said. “We all want to play this game.”
